Rock Island, Ill. - The Wheaton College women's cross country team finished in 14th place at Saturday's at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional.

Washington (Mo.) University ran away with first place as five of their runners placed in the top 10 individually. The racing field featured 38 teams and 264 runners.

Wheaton ended up with a team score 412. Annie Shults was the first finisher for the Thunder, taking 59th place in 23:39.40. The other team scorers were Parker Gary in 61st, Jennifer Anderson in 88th, Britta Eastburg in 90th and Hillary Topazian in 114th. Emma Kreiter (124th) and Abby Bullmore (175th) rounded out the Thunder effort.
