Wheaton, Ill. – Wheaton College junior
Tim McCrary has been tabbed a preseason Second Team All-American in the
2010-11 Sporting News College Basketball season preview magazine.
McCrary was a unanimous All-CCIW selection at forward as a sophomore last season after averaging a team-best 18.2 points per game on 54.2% (200-369) shooting from the field. McCrary led the Thunder and the CCIW in rebounding with 8.9 boards per game and also distributed a team-high 4.8 assists per game. He also tallied 1.1 blocked shots per game, with 1.3 steals per game. McCrary registered nine “double-doubles” last year, tallying double digits in both points and rebounds in a game, with one “triple-double” to his credit with double digits in points, rebounds and assists.
Wheaton was 19-9 in 2009-10, with a second place finish in the CCIW. The Thunder earned an at-large bid to the 2010 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament, advancing to the Second Round.
