- The Wheaton College women's water polo team had 10 athletes and the team represented in the 2010 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches Women's All-Academic Awards.

Wheaton ranked fourth in team cumulative GPA with a 3.42 in all of women's collegiate water polo. Macalester College scored the highest GPA at 3.52, followed by Chapman University (3.45), Harvard University (3.43), Wheaton (3.42), Brown University (3.33), University of Redlands (3.33), Stanford University (3.25), University of La Verne (3.24), Occidental College (3.21) and Mercyhurst College (3.20).

Two members of the Thunder team earned Outstanding All-American Academic Awards, which requires a grade point average between 3.71-4.00. The Outstanding distinction recipients were Rebecca Queen and Emily Bellfi. Six Wheaton athletes earned Superior All-American Academic Awards, given to student-athletes who post a grade point average between 3.41-3.70. The Superior distinction recipients were Emma Higgins Morris, Amy Nussbaum, Caroline Hannema, Heather Crockett, Christi Sheehy and Karalee Angus. Two Thunder players received Excellent All-American Academic Awards, which requires a grade point average between 3.20-3.40. The Excellent distinction recipients were Linley Sullivan and Morgan Sorenson, .
