Wheaton, Ill. - Recently, United Soccer Coaches announced their 2022-23 College Team Academic Award winners. Wheaton's men's and women's soccer programs each earned the award. Wheaton was one of only 184 programs across all three NCAA Divisions and the NAIA to have both its men's and women's program receive the award. To earn the award, a program must have a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

The Thunder men's program posted a team GPA of 3.43 in the 2022-23 academic year. Wheaton was one of 314 men's collegiate receiving the award.

The Wheaton women's program recorded a team GPA of 3.60 in 2022-23. The Thunder were among 500 collegiate women's programs to earn the College Team Academic Award.
