Tom Jarman participated in wrestling and football during his time at Wheaton in the early 1960s. Tom quickly claimed the 157-pound spot his freshman year and helped the Crusaders’ to their first Wheaton Invitational championship in 11 years and a third-place finish at the prestigious 4-I tourney in Cleveland. During his sophomore season, Tom was voted MVP at the Wheaton Invitational and led the Crusaders to a sixth-place finish in the first NCAA College Division Tournament, while winning the 157-pound weight class and earning All-American honors. His junior season, Jarman once again won the Wheaton Invitational and then went on to stay undefeated with 21 wins up to the NCAA tourney. He lost in the semi-finals, going home with fourth place in the nation. Tom capped off his career by going undefeated, winning the Wheaton Invitational for a fourth time and earning MVP honors for the second time.
Jarman also participated in football for the Crusaders for four seasons, mainly as a placekicker and defensive back.
