Scott Hall, a 1979 graduate, was the All-CCIW First Team quarterback in 1977 and 1978 and was named All-American First eam and Associated Press All-American (H.M.) in 1978. When Hall left Wheaton, he was the all-time leader in all major passing categories and total offense, including the lowest interception to pass attempt ratio among all Wheaton quarterbacks, a 2.9% mark (19 interceptions in 654 attempts). Wheaton won 22 of 36 games during Hall’s four seasons and he served as a co-captain in 1978.
Scott has taken away several life lessons from Wheaton College learned through athletics that have carried over into other areas of his life: “It is important to be well-disciplined, just like it takes a lot of discipline to become a quality athlete. There must be teamwork since things don’t happen by the efforts of just one person, and third, teams or organizations require dedicated, qualified leadership.”
