Ron Richardson, class of 1980, hit .305 during his four-year career with 107 hits in 351 career at-bats, with 17 doubles, 6 home runs, 34 runs scored, and 64 RBI, and struck out just 24 times in 99 career games. Ron set what were school records at the time with 10 doubles and 33 RBI, and hit .351 in 1980 and led Wheaton to an 11-5 CCIW record and a 15-12 overall record. Ron made the All-American and All-CCIW First Teams and the Academic All-State and the All-American Academic teams. He also served as team captain for both his junior and senior season.
