Ron Michaelson was a standout catcher for the Crusader baseball team during the early 1960s. Michaelson led the team in walks and runs batted in twice, and in triples three times. The 1963 graduate was chosen by his teammates to captain the baseball squad in 1962 and 1963. Ron also helped the athletic department as the student Sports Information Director.
