Ron Loescher made an immediate impact of the men’s soccer team as he earned a starting position as a freshman. As a sophomore in 1952, he set a single-season record with 12 goals and set a single-game scoring record with four goals against Morton. Both those records have since been broken. Ron was a three-time All-Conference selection, twice earning First Team accolades. He earned three All-Midwest Region selections, with a First Team nod, a Second Team nod and an Honorable Mention selection.
