As a senior in 1980, Ric Pedersen became the first men’s golfer from Wheaton to win the CCIW Championship, shooting a 75 each day of the two-round CCIW Championship. He earned team MVP and All-CCIW honors in 1978 and 1979, finishing with the top average on the team each of those two seasons.
Ric says of the values he learned as a golfer at Wheaton, “You need to follow all the rules in golf, even if your opponent isn’t looking. It is the same way in life. We need to live our lives knowing that God sees all.”
