Phil Wolf played midfield for Wheaton’s soccer program and was a three-time All-American from 1989-1991. He ranks high in school history in career assists (37), career points (135) and career goals (49). Wheaton posted a record of 77-10-6 over his four years. At the conclusion of his Crusader soccer career, Wolf went on to play five years of professional soccer. Phil was also an assistant coach at Wheaton and was a part of the 1997 NCAA Division III Championship team that set an NCAA record with a 66-match unbeaten streak.
Wolf said his favorite memory as a player at Wheaton was playing soccer everyday with his best friends, and his favorite as a coach was winning the 1997 National Championship. Some of the life lessons he learned at Wheaton were that we should seek to honor God in all that we do and always put others first.
