Of being part of the 1984 National Championship team, Pete says, “That season was obviously something I’ll never forget. To play with such a talented, confident team; yet to have a team committed to giving Christ the glory was great.”

After graduation, Pete has remained a part of Wheaton College soccer. In 1987, he served as head coach of the new women’s soccer team, a club program. In 1988, women’s soccer became a varsity sport and Pete has been the only coach in the history of the program. As of the conclusion of the 2010 season, Wheaton has won 14 CCIW Championships, seven regional championships and Wheaton won the 2004, 2006, and 2007 NCAA Division III National Championships. Pete has compiled an all-time record of 363-93-24 and has been named the CCIW Coach of the Year 10 times. Felske was the recipient of the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) Division III "Coach of the Year Award" in 2004, 2006 and 2007.
