Mark Loeffler Induction Video

Mark Loeffler was a two-time All-American wide receiver for the Wheaton football team from 1993-96. At the time of his graduation, Loeffler owned the school record in career catches (232) and career receiving yards (3,601). His 46 career touchdowns scored is still a Wheaton record and he ranks first in total points scored with 286.

Loeffler is being inducted into the Hall of Honor along with teammates Jeff Brown and Pedroa Arruza. The trio was part of the 1995 squad that reached the NCAA Playoffs for the first time in school history. Loeffler considers that first playoff game win over Wittenberg College to be his favorite athletic memory.

Mark said that the coaching staff was great at prepping the team both athletically and spiritually. “The one accomplishment in life that ultimately matters is whether we know Jesus as our Lord and Savior,” he said. “I am proud to be a part of the Wheaton Football family because the men entrusted with running the program understand this and have done a great job making sure every player knows this is the highest priority.”

Current head coach Mike Swider said Loeffler had great hands with deceptive speed. “But the thing about Mark was his toughness,” Swider said. “A defensive back could not intimidate him. He would catch the ball in a crowd and take a hit. He was a great receiver with great hands, but he was a tough receiver…He caught touchdowns. He was a guy you went to when you needed a score.”

Currently, Loeffler is President of Infoswell Media, which design and implement websites. Mark and his wife Sarah are parents to three children – Luke, Benjamin and Samuel.
