A 1986 graduate, Lyndon Perry made a large impact on the men’s swimming program during his four years at Wheaton. Perry achieved All-American status during all four of his seasons in the pool for the Crusaders. Perry also set CCIW and Illinois Division III records in the butterfly.
Perry notes a lesson that he learned through Wheaton swimming, “A lesson I had to work through was the role of competition in my life as a Christian. I didn’t want to ‘climb the ladder’ of success by stepping on those around me. Wheaton athletics helped me realize that I could accomplish great things, while bringing others with me. This is the nature of healthy, Godly competition.”
