Les Malmquist competed in three sports during his athletic career at Wheaton. Of the three, wrestling is where he drew the most accolades. He compiled a record of 35-7 record and helped lead Wheaton wrestling to three state championships.
Malmquist notes of his time at Wheaton, “In life, as in sports, you must play by the rules provided, to gain the respect of others and to be of service to the Lord. Through my experience at Wheaton, I gained both confidence in the skills the Lord has given me, and the strength of heart to lead others.”
