LeRoy “Pat” Patterson participated in track, baseball and wrestling during his time at Wheaton, but achieved his greatest performance in football. Patterson accounted for over half of the Crusaders points from 1937-1939, while playing multiple positions including kicker. Pat was a three-time All-Conference selection and was mentioned as an All-American nominee.
