Jon Lederhouse, a 1974 graduate, had an outstanding career as a member of the Crusader swimming team. In 1970-71, his freshman season, Jon won the NCAA Division II national championship in the 100-yard backstroke. He also earned All-American status in the 200-yard backstroke and was named Most Valuable Swimmer in the CCIW. The next season, he repeated as 100-yard backstroke Division II national champion and was All-American in two other events. As a junior, Lederhouse was an NCAA All-American in five different events and repeated that performance at the national meet as a senior. For his career, Jon earned All-American recognition 15 different times.

Lederhouse has gone on to become the long-time swimming coach at Wheaton where he has coached numerous conference champions and All-Americans.
