Jerry Miller, a 1956 graduate, helped lead the Wheaton basketball program to a 72-17 record during his four-year career from 1952-56. The 1956 season concluded with the team placing fourth in the nation at the NAIA National Tournament and Jerry being named to the All-NAIA National Tournament team. The 1956 team posted a 28-4 record, which was Wheaton’s best record until it won the 1957 NCAA College Division National Championship with a 28-1 mark. In 100 career games, Miller accumulated 1,245 points, the fifth-best point total in Wheaton history at the time. Miller earned All-CCI Honorable Mention honors as a sophomore and junior and capped off his career with All-CCI Second Team honors.
