A 1981 graduate, Jeff Peltz was a standout defensive lineman during his time with the Crusader football team. Peltz earned All-CCIW honors in both his junior and senior seasons. He recorded 37 sacks in his four-year playing career and made 14 sacks in 1978, both were thought to be school records at the time (no exact defensive records exist).

His relationship with the school and the football program continues today. Jeff has served as an assistant football coach at Wheaton since 1982, coaching numerous All-Americans and All-Conference players.

Peltz notes of lessons learned from Wheaton football, “Whatever you do; play, work, relationships – do it with everything you have. I tremendously enjoyed my four years as a Wheaton football player…my work ethic, loyalty, discipline, attitude, passion and faith are a direct result of the shaping through experiences with my parents, as an athlete, as a student and now as a coach.”
