Jean Anderson participated in Women’s Basketball, Field Hockey and Women’s Tennis during her time at Wheaton College. In basketball, Anderson was the team’s leading scorer in three of her four years. Anderson also played fullback for the field hockey team and played in the state collegiate tennis championships twice.
Jean says, “Martha Baptista was a role model for us and our primary advocate and encourager. It was her coaching of the basketball team and my experiences there which were primary in forming my professional future. I have been and will continue to be indebted to her.” Jean went on to a long career in higher education and coaching.
