Jason Senik was a four-year letterwinner in men's basketball and in his junior and senior seasons, he helped lead Wheaton to 46 victories in those two years. He was a team captain for the 1995-96 Wheaton squad that compiled a 25-2 record, achieved a No. 1 ranking in Division III and won the program's first CCIW Championship in 37 years.
Senik was a two-time All-CCIW performer and in 1995-96, he was an honorable mention All-Midwest Region performer. In 1994-95, he shot 50.0% (48-of-96) from three-point range to set a school single-season record that still stands today. At the time of his graduation, Jason's 1,436 points ranked 16th in program history and his 175 career three-pointers ranked second in team history.
Jason reflected, "To be a small part of the history of Wheaton basketball (and Wheaton Athletics) is something I'll remember and think of with great joy and fulfillment. Even now, 25 years after I first stepped on campus, some of my best friends today were my teammates back then. It's a testament to the kind of player/person Coach Harris brought in, how he and the other coaches mentored us, and the time we spent sharpening, grinding together as teammates. Those four years are something I will always treasure and forever be grateful I was able to experience.
