    Dud Hallworth won over 50 races on the track for Wheaton during his four-year career with the Crusaders. Hallworth specialized in the middle distance races but ran a wide range of events from the 220 to the mile, plus longer cross country distances. Dud was also a key part of the cross country team and helped lead the team to a first place finish in the 1948 Illinois State Meet. Hallworth won four consecutive CCI conference championships in the half mile.
