    Don Anderson was a solid two-sport athlete for the Crusaders in Basketball and Baseball with most of his accolades coming in Basketball. 
Don quickly established himself as a freshman while starting most of the games and averaging 11.3 points per game. As a sophomore, the basketball team won the 1957 NCAA College Division National Championship while he averaged 12.7 points per game in 29 games. Don’s best effort came in a playoff win over Beloit when he scored 33 points. Don was named co-captain of the team his junior season and averaged 13.4 points per game and made the Second Team UPI “Small American” squad for a Wheaton team that finished fourth in the NCAA playoffs. As a senior, Don average 13.4 points per game and was named to the All-CCI team as a guard. During Don’s career, Wheaton had won 58 consecutive CCI conference games and won the conference championship all four years.
