Dick Gross was a regular on the Crusader basketball team for four years. Gross began his career by averaging 13.9 points per game as a freshman. The next season Gross was named to the All CCI Second Team. As a junior, injuries held Dick to limited play and an 11.2 point per game average. As a senior, Gross was named captain, and led the team to the CCI championship and an undefeated conference record. He averaged 14.1 points per game and was named to the All-CCI team. They had a 16-6 overall record including a 15-game win streak.
