Wheaton College Athletics

Dean Ekberg, class of 1977, was named All-American five times as a member of the Crusader swimming team. He was achieved All-American status three times in the 100-yard breaststroke and twice in the 200-yard breaststroke. His best finish at nationals was a third place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke. The three-time CCIW champ and record-setter also won in the Illinois Private College meet and posted numerous school marks.
