David Watt finished seventh in the all-around competition at the 1976 NCAA Division II Men’s Gymnastics Championships. The team captain narrowly missed earning All-American recognition in the all-around by .05 of a point. He helped guide Wheaton to third-place among the competition’s Division III schools at the Championships and a 14th overall finish. David was a recipient of a NCAA postgraduate scholarship in 1976.
Dr. Watt went on to a career in medicine and has been the team physician for Wheaton Athletics since 2002.
