David Iha was a two-sport performer during his time with the Crusaders. In football, he was the 1961 Crusader MVP, NCAA Small College All-American (H.M), co-captain and threw for 636 yards and eight touchdowns. In his career, Iha completed 101 of 244 for 1,422 yards and 15 touchdowns. When he left Wheaton, he was the all-time passing leader. Wheaton teams were 18-5-3 with Iha at the controls.
In tennis, Iha played No. 6 singles and had a career record of 31-3. He was 11-1 as a senior and 14-0 as a junior in 1961 for Wheaton’s first undefeated (16-0) team.
