Dave Arnold was a highly accomplished member of the Crusader Soccer team for Coach Bob Baptista during the mid 1950s. Arnold only scored seven goals in his career but was able to prove that you don’t have to score a lot of goals to make yourself valuable. As a sophomore, Dave was named to the Honorable Mention All-Midwest Team and also to the Second Team All-Conference squad. As a junior, he was named First Team All-Midwest . Dave finished his career with an excellent senior season. Serving as team captain, Dave scored five goals while being named team MVP, First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Midwest and First Team All-American.
