He was honored as a Second Team Hewlett-Packard Division III All-American and D3football.com All-American as a senior. Lundgren recorded 22½ career sacks (-154 yards) with 48½ career tackles for lost yardage and he made 244 total tackles in his four seasons.
Dane recalls of a favorite memory, "My senior year when we beat Augustana to become undisputed conference champions is a great memory. It really felt like that was a tipping point for program and catapulted us into a playoff run and success for years to come. We worked so hard as a collective team for that win and it felt like the fruit of four years of hard labor. It meant a lot to win that for our coaches." Dane adds, "I feel like the awards and honors I received in my playing career are really an acknowledgement of what a great team defense we had. I got to play alongside Chad Isaacson, John Diggs, Jeff Darnauer, and in front of Justin Knapp and Kevin Sellers. Our front seven was pretty fearsome and I want to acknowledge that receiving this award really honors that collective team effort."
