During Dan Branda’s football career, he helped the Crusaders to an undefeated season and a four-year record of 26-6-2. In his first two years, Dan scored six touchdowns and gained 361 yards rushing. During his junior year, he scored 88 points, setting a CCI scoring record for a season and he rushed for 778 yards and 10 touchdowns. In 1960, Dan had 827 rushing yards, 307 yards in receptions and scored nine touchdowns. In four years, Dan gained 1,966 yards, scored 200 points and had a 5.9 yard rushing average. Dan was an All-Conference selection in 1958 and 1959, and he earned Little All-American Honorable Mention recognition his junior and senior years.
