Damon Becker won the job as catcher as a freshman and never let go, performing steadily behind the plate all four years while posting a .307 career batting average. Named the team’s Most Improved Player as a junior, he batted .375 in league games that season. The senior captain then led the CCIW with a .390 mark. In his career, Damon hit four homers among 66 hits and batted in 38 runs. He was twice named All-CCIW.
