Bonnie Neff Lehman, a 1955 graduate, participated in women’s tennis all four years at Wheaton. Bonnie was a four-time doubles winner at the Millikin Invitational, a tournament which was the equivalent of the state championship for women. Bonnie fondly recalls when at the Millikin Invitational as a freshman, that she along with her partner decided to claim Jeremiah 33:3 as their verse to sustain them through the tournament. Bonnie suffered only one defeat in singles competition during her junior and senior seasons.
