Bill Scholl was a versatile student-athlete at Wheaton. He played football and wrestled all four years for the Crusaders. On the football field, Scholl gained 2,107 career rushing yards which ranks among the best in Wheaton history. Bill’s best season came as a senior when he gained 1,010 yards, the most ever by a Wheaton runner at the time. He gained 186 yards vs. Hope; 170 vs. Georgetown; 159 vs. Illinois Wesleyan; 152 vs. Wabash; and 139 vs. Valparaiso. In wrestling, Bill posted a cumulative 35-29-1 record over his four seasons.
