    Bill Bostrom, class of 1964, put together a career that ranks among the best for pitchers in Wheaton baseball history. As a freshman, the right-hander lost a no hitter with two outs in the eighth, while striking out 18 in a 1-0 shutout. When injured in the next game, he moved to the outfield and batted .326 to lead the team. He continued as a sophomore with three homers and 10 RBI and pitched relief. Bill returned to starting pitching as a junior and went 8-2 and then 6-3 as the team MVP senior captain postied a 0.93 ERA while striking out 84 in 75 innings. For his career, Bostrom finished with a 16-6 record and a stellar 1.76 ERA.
