Al Seeland was described in 1959 by Coach Harve Chrouser as “the key and rock of our offensive line,” and Al twice was named to First Team All-CCI. As a sophomore, Wheaton went 8-1 and tied for the CCI title; the next two years, the Crusaders won the conference outright and posted overall records of 8-0-0 and 6-1-2.
