    Aaron Gamede was considered one of the best soccer players for the Crusaders in Wheaton’s first 20 years of intercollegiate soccer. Aaron, who transferred to Wheaton from his native South Africa, scored six goals as a junior and eight goals in a 5-2-1 senior season, sparking several outstanding victories. On their eastern trip, Wheaton handed Purdue its only loss of the year, nipped tough Buffalo State and upset unbeaten Oberlin. Later, Aaron netted a hat trick against Chicago.
