The 1967-68 women’s basketball team turned in a perfect 11-0 record to become Wheaton’s first and only undefeated basketball squad. Under the direction of Martha Baptista, the Crusaders opened with a 26-23 win over Northern Illinois and followed with victories over DePaul, Wisconsin-LaCrosse, and Concordia. When highly-ranked Iowa came to Wheaton and returned home with a 42-40 loss, the Crusaders had their fifth win. Wheaton went on to defeat Hope, Calvin, Rock Valley, Concordia, Lake Forest, and Northwestern to close out the undefeated season.
