St. Louis, Mo.- The Wheaton women's tennis team had their NCAA Tournament run ended on Friday morning in a 5-0 loss to #12-ranked Washington (Mo.) University. The host Bears swept doubles action and won the first two singles matches to end the contest. The Bears improve to 15-7 on the season while the Thunder finish the season 17-5.
The appearance was Wheaton's eighth appearance in the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Team Championship, and the program's sixth consecutive appearance. Head coach
Jane Nelson's program is now 9-8 all-time in the NCAA Division III Tournament. This was their second consecutive Second Round exit.
