Wheaton, Ill.- Wheaton senior Kirsten Boyer has been named this week's CCIW Women's Tennis Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday morning. Boyer went 2-0 in Wheaton's 9-0 victory over Edgewood on April 25. She defeated Laura Olsen at #2 singles (6-0, 6-0) and teamed with Marissa Shults at #2 doubles for an 8-3 win over Morgan Wilson and Brooke McBain. Boyer is currently riding a seven-match winning streak at #2 singles this spring.

Boyer is 13-4 this season at #2 singles and is the fourth different player for the Thunder to earn the award. Marissa Shults, Lauren Schlabach and Julie Buursma have previously won the award this year.
