Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton College women's basketball team has been selected as an at-large participant in the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament that begins this weekend. Wheaton (22-5) will face Hope College (26-1) in a First Round game in Holland, Michigan on Friday at 7:30 PM EST. The winner of Friday's First Round game will advance to the Second Round on Saturday at 6:30 PM EST and will face the winner of Friday's other First Round game at Holland between Ohio Northern University (26-1) and Hanover College (21-7).

Kent Madsen. "You're always excited to see your seniors rewarded, especially when they've invested so much into our program over the last four years."
Wheaton enters the tournament with a 22-5 record this season. The Thunder finished second during the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's (CCIW) regular season schedule with an 11-3 record during the league's regular season.
This is Wheaton's eighth postseason appearance and the first time Wheaton has appeared in the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament since 2006-07
Friday's game will be the 10th meeting in women's basketball between Wheaton and Hope. Hope tallied a record of 26-1 this year and earned an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament by winning the automatic bid from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA).
