Wheaton, Ill. - Four members of the Wheaton College Men's Track & Field team will compete at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships beginning on Thursday May 24 on the campus of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in Claremont, California.
Junior
Luke Vance (PICTURED LEFT) qualified for Nationals in the men's 800-meter run with a time of 1:51.48 that he posted on May 3 at the CCIW Championships. Vance's time is 12th among the 20 qualifiers that will be competing in the prelims on Friday at 7:25 PM (PDT). The Thunder junior is a returning All-American in the event, after an eighth-place finish in the 800-meters at the 2011 Division III Championships in Delaware, Ohio.

Parker Thompson will be competing in the men's 1,500-meter run at Nationals for the second consecutive year. His qualifying time of 3:51.06 that was posted at the 2012 CCIW Championships on May 3 is the 15th-fastest time among the 20 participants that will compete in the prelims on Thursday at 4:45 PM (PDT).
Sophomore twin brothers
Jake Waterman and
James Waterman (BOTH PICTURED RIGHT) will be making their first appearances at Nationals; and will be among 20 participants in the prelims of the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase on Thursday at 8:30 PM (PDT). Jake's qualifying time of 9:06.09 is the 15th-fastest effort in the field and was recorded at the Gregory Invitational in Naperville on May 15. James posted the 19th-fastest time in the field, with a mark of 9:07.30 at the Dr. Keeler Invitational in Naperville on May 10.
