Ryan Miller, a May 2012 graduate of Wheaton, has signed a professional contract to play baseball with the
Copper State Prospectors of Scottsdale, Arizona. The Prospectors play in the Freedom Baseball League, an independent baseball league based in Arizona.
Miller is a two-time All-Region selection at shortstop, earning First Team All-CCIW honors this spring. The four-year starter hit .383 (62-for-162) this season, with 45 runs scored and 19 RBI. He stole a team-best 16 bases and tied for the team lead with 13 doubles.
He is second on the school's all-time list with 225 career hits and he is also second on the all-time runs list with 174. He is second in career doubles with 46 and second in stolen bases with 50.
