Wheaton men's tennis places three on All-Conference Team; Pihl named Coach of the Year

All-Conference Team

Wheaton, Ill. - Three members of the Wheaton College men's tennis team earned CCIW All-Conference accolades and head coach Brad Pihl was named CCIW Coach of the Year on Monday.

Junior Taylor Johnson was selected First Team All-Conference for the third time in his career. Johnson totaled a 17-9 record at the No. 1 singles with a 17-8 mark primarily at No. 2 doubles.

Senior Jordan Williams was a Second Team All-Conference pick after posting a 10-10 record at No. 3 singles with a 10-11 mark primarily at No. 1 doubles.

Williams' doubles partner Josh Ward joined him on the Second Team. The freshman compiled a 17-10 record at No. 2 singles and also went 13-12 at No. 1 doubles.

Coach Pihl picked up his first CCIW Coach of the Year honor as Wheaton won its first CCIW championship since 2003. The Thunder went 7-0 against conference opponents this year with an 18-5 overall record.
