Results

Naperville, Ill. - The Wheaton College men's and women's swim teams competed in a dual meet at North Central College on Thursday. No team scores were kept.

The Thunder men picked up five victories in the meet. Hayes Wilkerson was a double winner in the 200-yard freestyle (1:52.51) and the 100-yard freestyle (49.45). Michael Daugherty took first place in the 50-yard freestyle (23.51) and Kurt Andres won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.63). In addition, the 200-yard medley relay (Zach Schoppen, Andres, Hal Hackett, Michael Schemenaur) won in a time of 1:47.51.

Wheaton's women earned three individual event wins. Marcey Wennlund (PICTURED BELOW) took a pair of events - the 50-yard freestyle (25.89) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.97). Christine Coley was first in the 100-yard backstroke (1:08.58).

The CCIW Championships will occur at Carthage College on Feb. 16-18.
