Tim McCrary named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week

Wheaton, Ill. – Wheaton senior Tim McCrary has been named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for his efforts last week. McCrary has helped guide Wheaton to a 14-3 record this season, with a 5-1 mark in conference play.

McCrary averaged 25.5 points and nine rebounds in Wheaton's wins against Carthage and North Park last week. In Wheaton's two victories he shot 63% from the field on 17-for-27 shooting and made 89.5% (17-19) of his free throws.

In Saturday's win against North Park, McCrary scored 24 points, with nine rebounds. He also added three assists and three steals against the Vikings. Last Tuesday, he shot 9-for-12 from the field on his way to 27 points in a victory against Carthage. He also grabbed nine rebounds, with three assists and five steals against the Red Men.

McCrary currently leads the CCIW in scoring with an average of 19.6 points per game. He is also the conference's rebounding leader with an average of 7.8 caroms per contest.

Recently, McCrary became the 12th player in Wheaton history to reach the 1,500-point milestone. He is now 10th on Wheaton's all-time scoring list with 1,551 career points. He is also fifth on the career assist list with 369 and eighth in rebounding with 792 career boards. McCrary is just the fifth player in NCAA Division III history to record at least 1,500 points, 750 rebounds and 350 assists in a career.
