Whitewater, Wis. - The Thunder women's tennis team (1-1) dropped its first match of the season in a hard-fought 5-4 loss at UW-Whitewater on Saturday morning.

Each team took three singles matches, however, the Warhawks won two of the three doubles contests to earn the advantage in the team score. Wheaton was ranked 18th and Whitewater 19th to end the 2009 spring season in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Women's National Rankings.
