Wheaton, Ill. - Wheaton College's Casi Blanton was named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Golfer of the Week on Tuesday.

Blanton, a junior from Indianapolis, Ind., placed second over the weekend at the Bethel Pilot Invitational at Blackthorn Golf Club in South Bend, Ind. On Friday, Blanton shot an 82. She then shot a season-low 76 on Saturday to lead Wheaton a to third place finish as a team. Blanton is a chemistry major.

It is the second time this year Blanton has received the CCIW recognition. So far this season, she leads the team with a stroke average of 82 and has finished in the top-10 five times in six events.
