Wheaton, Ill. - The Wheaton College water polo team lost to Grove City College 11-7 on Thursday at the Midwest Water Polo Tournament.

The Thunder fell to 4-9 on the season while the Wolverines evened their record at 7-7.

Wheaton led 4-1 early in the second period when Grove City made its comeback to take a 5-4 lead at the halfway point.

Wheaton's offense was led by Hannah Veldt with four goals, Amanda Adams with two goals and Emma Higgins with one goal.

The Thunder continue action at the Midwest Tournament with three matches on Friday at 11:45 AM, 3 PM and 9 PM.
