South Bend, Ind. - The Wheaton College water polo team beat Eastern Michigan University and lost to Carthage College and the University of Notre Dame on Saturday at the Notre Dame Invitational.
The Thunder started the day with a 16-5 victory over Eastern Michigan.
Jessica McGee scored three goals in a balanced team effort as Amanda Adams,
Emma Higgins, Allison Marshall and
Caroline Hannema all scored two goals each.
In the next game, Carthage defeated Wheaton 12-8 as the Lady Reds led the entire match. Higgins led the Thunder offense with four goals.
Wheaton wrapped up the day with an 11-5 loss to host Notre Dame. The Thunder scored four goals in the final period as
Heather Crockett ended up with three goals and McGee tallied two goals.
The Thunder will host their Wheaton Inviational on Friday and Saturday.
