All-Conference Team
Wheaton, Ill. - Wheaton College men's soccer player
Matt Swartz was named CCIW Co-Player of the Year and three other Wheaton players also made the All-Conference Team on Monday.
Swartz, a senior midfielder/forward, was named to the First Team All-Conference and he is the 19th Wheaton player to be selected as CCIW Player of the Year since the award was introduced in 1989. Swartz has scored a conference-best 12 goals with six assists in 20 games so far this season. He scored three goals with three assists in seven conference games this season. This marks his third All-Conference First Team selection.
Senior defender
Damon Brown (PICTURED RIGHT) also earned First Team All-Conference accolades. The sweeper has played in all 20 games this year and has anchored a defense that has allowed only 18 goals in 20 games (0.86 GAA) with nine shutouts.
Sophomore forward
Drew Golz (PICTURED LEFT) was named Second Team All-Conference. In his first year with the Thunder, Golz has played in all 20 games and is second on the team with six goals and five assists. In seven conference games, he tallied three goals and one assist.
Freshman defender
Dan Pavlak (PICTURED RIGHT) earned Second Team-All Conference recognition after playing in all 20 games so far this year. He has scored two goals with one assist, including the game-winner in a 1-0 victory at Hope College.
